Our Schedule is Booked!Your Temple Public Library offers a variety of book clubs to meet your reading needs. From the classics to contemporary, we are here to keep you engaged and reading (or listening). 

Great Books Club 
Great Books focuses on short readings by historians and philosophers of Western civilization. Copies of the stories are provided to members.
2nd Monday | 6:30PM ONLINE

  • February: Good Country People - Flannery O'Connor
  • March: A World Split Apart – Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
  • April:  Brave New World – Aldous Huxley

Second Look Book Club 

Join us every first Monday as we read books that were best-sellers when first released. These books were so good, they are worth a second look.
1st Monday  | 6:30PM ONLINE

  • February: Normal People - Sally Rooney
  • March: Leaving the Atocha Station – Ben Lerner
  • April: The Nickel Boys – Colson Whitehead
  • May: Convenience Store Woman – Sayaka Murata

Short Story Reading Group

The club reads short story selections by well-known authors. Copies of the stories are provided to members.

Women Authors Book Club
This group is for reading, sharing, and discussing  novels written by female authors across all genres.
