Programs
Youth Chess Club
2nd Saturday | 2PM | 3rd Floor
Volunteers from the Temple Chess Club will teach youth to play chess. Ages 6 and up.

Mystique and Mayhem: Role-Playing for Kids
1st & 3rd Wednesdays | 5PM | 1st Floor

Do you enjoy storytelling and problem-solving? Join us for a new adventure every month with Mystique and Mayhem! Best suited for ages 7 - 12.

Unwind after school with constructive and imaginative play. All supplies provided. Ages 5-11.

Kids Craft Corner
4th Tuesday | 5PM | 1st Floor
Explore your creative abilities here at the Temple Public Library. All supplies are provided. This program is best suited for ages 7 - 12.

    Learn how to read with ABCmouse, the award-winning reading app for kids ages 2 - 8. Inspire you child to love learning and build confidence in reading, math, and more! ABC Mouse is free when on the Library's computers or using the Library's Wi-Fi. ABC Mouse is only accessible while in the Library on our computers or your own device connected to our WI-FI.

    The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Daytime Emmy®-nominated and award-winning children’s literacy website, Storyline Online®, streams videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations. 
  • Storyvoice
    Storyvoice is the world’s first interactive, live read-aloud show where authors and illustrators read, draw, and connect live with a global listening audience.
  • Tumble Books
    TumbleBookLibrary is a curated database of children’s e-books with over 1100 titles for grades K-6, and includes our unique animated, talking picture books, read-along chapter books, National Geographic videos, non-fiction books, playlists, as well as books in Spanish and French. Plus, the collection features Graphic Novels – a student favorite!
  • TexShare
    Visit our TexShare database page to find resource like CREDO Reference, Explora, Middle Search Plus, and Primary Search. This database is accessible while in the Library but requires a username and password if you use it off-site. Stop by the Youth Services Desk to get the login information so you can use these resources at home. 
  • Unite for Literacy
    Unite for Literacy provides free digital access to picture books, narrated in many languages.
