Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Temple Public Library support the Library both through volunteer work and through fundraising. The Friends organization is over 50 years old! Membership information is available at the Library Circulation desk.  Volunteer opportunities are available year-round. 

The Friends' primary fundraisers are the Labor Day Used Book Sale and the Mid-Winter Used Book Sale, selling books, movies, and music. Members of the Friends of the Library are invited to a special preview sale before the sale opens to the public. Donations for the book sale are accepted at theLibrary year round. Proceeds from the book sales are used to support children's Summer and Winter Reading Programs, online resources, and to fill other needs of the Library.
