Where do you work in the Library and what's your position?
Assistant Librarian in the Youth Services Department.
How long have you worked at the Library?
Just over a year! I started at the very beginning of September in 2021.
What do you like best about your job?
I love being a part of an unforgettable and positive experience for the community!
What is the proudest moment in your life?
Upon completion of my bachelor’s degree in English, I was inducted into two very goofy groups. First, I was appointed the rank of Sitter in the Siege Perilous as a Round Table Knight in the Most Loyal Order of the Knights of Bedwell. Second, I was granted the Sith name Darth Rhoncha in the Loyal Order of the Legion of DOOM. Essentially, I took so many classes with two professors that I got a fancy certificate saying that I was just as nerdy as them. I was truly proud that day!
What is the most important thing you have learned in the last five years?
You cannot reason with someone who is stuck in high emotion, especially in times of high stress or anxiety. Things always work out better if you can wait.

Determined, loquacious, extra
If you could witness any historical event, what would you want to see?
I would love to have seen the Broadway production of the musical Spring Awakening with the original cast. This cast, full of dedicated teenagers, turned a pet project into something magical and honest for an audience who needed to hear their stories.

What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever eaten?
A slice of American cheese slathered in mashed potato and topped with macaroni & cheese and hot dog slices.
What is your favorite thing to do in Temple?
Go to the library!

When I am sharing my stories with someone else (and when I have a cat in my lap)
